Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and accounts

The Services are intended for law firms, in-house legal departments, corporations, public bodies and, through KANOLOGY Academy, law students and early-career legal professionals. You must be at least 18 years old and, where you act for an organization, authorized to bind it. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Use of the Services

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• copy, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works of the Services;
• resell, sublicense or redistribute any output of the Services without written permission;
• use automated means to scrape or extract data from the Services;
• upload content that you do not have the right to process or that infringes third-party rights;
• interfere with the security, integrity or performance of the Services.

3. AI output is not legal advice

KANOLOGY analyzes, reviews, flags, drafts and simulates legal documents and scenarios to support the work of qualified professionals. Output generated by the Services does not constitute legal advice, does not create a lawyer-client relationship and must be reviewed by qualified counsel before being relied upon. You remain solely responsible for any decision, filing or document made using the Services.

4. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, models, content, trademarks (including KANOLOGY, The Kanology OS™ and the falcon device) and design, are owned by KANOLOGY or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your internal professional or educational purposes. You retain ownership of the documents you upload and the output generated from them.

5. Customer data and confidentiality

You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Services. We treat customer documents as confidential, keep them isolated per customer and do not use them to train models available to other customers. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy and Data Protection statement.

6. Subscriptions and fees

Access to the platform is subject to a subscription agreement, order form or Academy plan specifying the fees, term and scope of use. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are non-refundable and subscriptions renew automatically for successive terms unless cancelled before the renewal date.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, KANOLOGY disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including as to the accuracy or completeness of any AI-generated output, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue or data arising out of your use of the Services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the DIFC Courts.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
